“The Power of Faith: Navigating Life’s Challenges with Confidence” By Judi Moreo

The Power of Faith: Navigating Life’s Challenges with Confidence

By Judi Moreo

In a world filled with uncertainties, where fear often knocks on the door of our minds, Napoleon Hill’s words echo a profound truth: “Close the door of fear behind you and see how quickly the door to faith will open in front of you.” This sentiment captures the essence of faith, a force that transcends religious boundaries and speaks to the universal human experience.

Faith, in its broadest sense, is the confident assurance that something we desire will come to pass. It’s the certainty that our hopes are not in vain, even when the path ahead remains unseen. The need for spirituality has become more pronounced in today’s hectic world, characterized by stress and a quest for meaning. We yearn for purpose, connectivity, and a sense that a force larger than ourselves is guiding us through life’s twists and turns.

Faith is a deeply personal journey, embracing diverse expressions and perspectives. Individuals find solace and strength in their connection to this force, whether labeled as God, Creator, Buddha, or Higher Power. Faith is not confined to a singular path but opens doors to diverse spiritual awakenings. It is a powerful companion, offering strength in adversity, courage in the face of change, and resilience during life’s contradictions.

Faith becomes a guiding force when we shift our focus from fear and limitation to gratitude and positive action. Instead of resisting circumstances, faith encourages us to embrace a proactive approach, fostering gratitude for the blessings already present in our lives. This shift in perspective opens doors to creative problem-solving, sound decision-making, and a purposeful life journey.

Personal anecdotes, such as surviving a near-fatal accident, often reinforce the belief in a protective force at play. Moments of clarity during life-threatening events, coupled with a sense of divine intervention, reaffirm the transformative nature of faith. The conviction that a power greater than ourselves is present, guiding our paths, becomes a source of reassurance and resilience.

Faith is not a passive endeavor but an active force that requires commitment and action. While faith provides guidance and comfort, it is through intentional actions that we produce tangible results. The interplay between faith and action becomes crucial, emphasizing the need to translate belief into positive deeds.

“My Why” By Karen Mayo

My Why

By Karen Mayo

My nephew, Scott, came to stay with me during his sixth-grade school year.

His mother, my sister, a single mom, had made a tough decision to enlist in the United States Army. Scott could not go to boot camp with her, so she asked if he could stay with me. “Of course,” I said.

Before Scott came to live with me, he ate everything from fast food to frozen TV dinners. His favorite snack was in a bag with food coloring Red 40, Yellow 5, and 6. He was taking ADHD medication, and his grades were a “C” at best. Scott was eating unhealthy foods loaded with chemicals and preservatives. No wonder he was not thinking at his best, which his grades clearly demonstrated.

We established a new routine. Everything was going well. We ate breakfast in the morning. I packed his lunch almost daily, and then we ate a healthy dinner with a big green salad.

One of his teachers called me and said she and the other teachers would like to set up a meeting with me about my nephew. I had no idea why. I thought maybe Scott really does need his medication. He hadn’t been taking it as he didn’t bring his medication for ADHD to my house.

I went to the school the day of the meeting, walked through the doorway, and said to myself, “Oh….My….God! I’m in big trouble.” Sitting at the table were the principal, vice-principal, Scott’s teachers, another set of teachers a student gets when diagnosed with ADHD, and a person from the school district.

The teacher who called me spoke,  “Don’t worry, Karen, you’re not in trouble. Go ahead and have a seat.” Something magical happened; I sat at a table and listened to Scott’s teachers tell me how pleased they were with him. Scott had earned a place on the honor roll and received a certificate from the Blue Mountain Middle School for straight A’s in math.

Wow!! He’s off his medication and excelling in school.

“What’s Your Story?” By Judi Moreo

What’s Your Story?

By Judi Moreo

I recently had the chance to interview my long-time friend, Aimmee Kodachian, a two-time Global Award winner, on my television show “What’s Your Story?” airing on the WWDBTV channel on Roku. Having been fortunate enough to work with Aimmee on various ventures, I’ve had the opportunity to see how she serves as a source of inspiration to others and her story exerts a deep impact on all who read or hear it.  That’s why I felt it imperative to interview her on my show and to share the message from that interview with you.

Alongside Aimmee, I also spoke with the immensely talented rising star Stephanie Thompson—a classically trained singer-songwriter and vocal coach—and Rey Fernandez, a composer for film, TV, games, and songs.

Aimmee Kodachian wasn’t just recognized with the Global Award once but twice, a testament to her incredible work. She is the publisher of Empowering Humanity Magazine™ and wears many hats: Aimmee is the author of “Tears of Hope,” her incredible life-changing story. She is also a keynote speaker, TV show host, and producer. In fact, she produced my first show 15 years ago.   Beyond these roles, she’s developed a dynamic online platform, EmpoweringHumanityTV.com, dedicated to providing people around the world with inspiration, education, and transformative life programs.

Aimmee’s resilience can be traced back to her tumultuous childhood. She grew up amid the horrors of the Civil War in Lebanon. As a child, Aimmee struggled with severe dyslexia, leading her to be held back in school year after year. Additionally, she bore the scars of sexual abuse from the tender age of seven. Yet, in the midst of these challenges, she held onto her dreams and aspirations.

One fateful day, while discussing their futures in the living room, 12-year-old Aimmee and her 20-year-old brother, Robert, were full of hope and making plans for Aimmee’s future.

However, unexpectedly, tragedy struck their home as Aimmee went to grab Robert’s tea from the kitchen. Just two steps in, a bomb hurtled through the window, taking her brother’s life right before her eyes.

In the midst of the chaos, her mother’s panicked screams pierced the air, intensifying the cacophony of terror. The acrid sting of smoke overwhelmed her senses, while the relentless impact of the bombs caused their apartment building to tremble. Aimmee watched in horror as her father frantically tried to prevent her mother from throwing herself out of the window.

That horrific day altered Aimmee’s life irrevocably. Her family lost everything and found themselves homeless. They had no choice but to send Aimmee and her six-year-old brother, Roger, to a boarding school in the mountains for their safety. As the war raged on, roads became impassable, trapping the siblings in the mountains for several months. Facing scant food and water supplies, no electricity, and the unbearable uncertainty of reuniting with their family. At the tender age of 12, Aimmee had to adopt the role of a maternal figure to her younger brother. She grappled with feelings of loneliness, neglect, and fear.

Yet, just as despair threatened to overwhelm her, a miraculous event occurred on the playground of the dilapidated boarding school. Aimmee felt enveloped by a radiant light, and in that profound moment, she experienced what she calls God’s gift—the “Miracle Light”—that has guided and shielded her throughout her life’s journey.

“Mastering the Art of Professional Image” By Eliz Nestorov

Mastering the Art of Professional Image

By Eliz Nestorov

Your professional image serves as a powerful reflection of your character and competence, influencing how you are perceived in various business scenarios. It is a multifaceted concept encompassing not only your outward appearance but also your behavior, communication, and the lasting impression you leave on others. In the blink of an eye, people form their initial judgments of you, making it essential to cultivate a positive and enduring image in all your endeavors.

  1. Dress to Impress: Your Image Matters

In your pursuit of a professional image, be mindful of the significant role appearances play in creating first impressions and fostering ongoing interactions. Transition from casual attire to dressier options, such as dress shirts and closed-toe shoes. Pay attention to grooming and personal hygiene. Invest in business-appropriate attire, including suits, ties, dresses, and accessories. Your appearance should convey confidence, credibility, trustworthiness, and approachability.

2. Sharpen Your Social Skills

While your academic qualifications may have opened doors, your ability to interact gracefully with others will determine your success. In today’s relationship-focused, interconnected environment, social savvy is paramount. Whether you’re engaging with people in person, over the phone, or through digital channels, impeccable human interaction skills are indispensable. Mastering good manners, business etiquette, and effective communication – along with cultivating civility and charm – requires practice and ongoing commitment. These skills not only enhance your personal and professional effectiveness but also help you avoid behaviors that could be perceived as disrespectful or abrasive.

3. Find a Mentor

Ascending the professional ladder and navigating the intricacies of personal and professional relationships demand skills beyond your formal education. Consider seeking guidance from a mentor or a sponsor who can offer valuable insights. Identify potential mentors, both within and outside your workplace, and initiate respectful interviews. Prepare a list of questions and a proposed schedule, outlining how your mentor can aid in your career advancement. Ensure that the mentorship agreement is mutually beneficial and put the terms in writing. Regularly assess your progress and be open to finding a new mentor if necessary.

4. Build Your Personal Brand – Stand Out with Distinction

Your personal brand is your reputation and a pivotal component of your professional image. Think of it as the essence of who you are, reflecting your values, goals, strengths, weaknesses, and methods. Constructing a robust personal brand is an ongoing endeavor that hinges on authenticity, clarity, and consistency. Your personal brand should resonate with your unique attributes, such as intelligence, trustworthiness, passion, and inspiration. Ensure that these attributes are evident in your presence, performance, and communication, both in person and online. Seek feedback from peers, family, friends, and supervisors to refine your personal brand as your career evolves.

“Spotlight on Unsung Heroes: Dr. Reeta Kaul Thukral – A Pillar of Hope, Health, and Education” By Aimmee Kodachian

Spotlight on Unsung Heroes: Dr. Reeta Kaul Thukral – A Pillar of Hope, Health, and Education

By Aimmee Kodachian

In a world where so many seek their interests and pursuits, there are rare individuals whose life mission revolves around the service of others. Dr. Reeta Kaul Thukral stands as a shining beacon in this realm. Her legacy, marked by dedication, compassion, and unyielding commitment, extends far beyond her medical profession. She is, undoubtedly, an unsung hero in the heart of our global community.

With over three and a half decades in the medical field, Dr. Thukral’s journey is nothing short of inspirational. As a board-certified internist and nephrologist, she has served in multiple corners of the world, from India to New Zealand and the United States. But beyond her clinical achievements and leadership roles, it is her philanthropic endeavors that genuinely set her apart.

In 2007, Dr. Thukral birthed a vision: The Global Charity Foundation (GCF). Founded in the U.S., this organization took form with a singular mission in mind – to provide healthcare and education to the at-risk and less privileged children and women in Las Vegas. It’s astonishing to see the ripple effects of such noble intentions. From the GCF’s Nevada Student Achievement Program, which annually tutors over 200 students, ensuring they are well-prepared for high school and beyond, to dual credit programs for high school students to start earning college credits and scholarships for college students at two local universities, UNLV and NSU. Dr. Thukral’s leadership and the dedicated teams have made a significant impact!

But her influence isn’t confined to the borders of the U.S. Reeta’s heart for the global community led her to establish the Man Mohini Kaul Charitable Medical Trust in India in 1998, further extending her outreach to children and women in multiple Indian cities.

“Conscious Deliberate Manifestation Series, Part 2 of 4, Secrets about Time & the Mind” By Tim Zimmerman

Conscious Deliberate Manifestation Series, Part 2 of 4, Secrets about Time & the Mind

By Tim Zimmerman

One of the additional mistakes that many, even coaches, make in regards to correct thinking, & speaking in creating affirmations for Conscious Deliberate Manifestation is in regards to time.

The only time for the subconscious and unconscious mind is NOW – the Here and Now. The past is an illusion because it refrains from happening right now in the Here and Now. The future is an illusion because it has refrained from happening in the Here and Now.

Before talking about correct and practical thinking, feeling (belief), speaking, and affirmations, we should really go into setting Goals and Objectives. Your goals and objectives should be positive, realistic, something you feel deeply about, and be the ideal situation put into written words – without any conflicting goals in all eight areas of your life – financial, family, professional, community, social & recreational, health, self-improvement, and spiritual.

The coaches who teach, “If your goal doesn’t scare you, it is not big enough,” are doing an injustice to their clients. One of the reasons you have refrained from attaining your goals already is because they are OUTSIDE your comfort zone and belief system.

Remember the SM3 Success Five Laws of Conscious Deliberate Manifestation: If you refrain from believing it, you are going to refrain from manifesting it and probably get frustrated, too. Then, that frustration leads to more negative thinking, manifesting as other negatives in your life. See the pattern?

“Unsheltered: Voices from the Street Rediscovering Humanity” By Aimmee Kodachian

Unsheltered: Voices from the Street Rediscovering Humanity

By Aimmee Kodachian

In the tapestry of life, we occasionally encounter threads that shine with a rare brilliance. Dennis Pitocco is one such luminous thread—a visionary leader and the Founder of 360° Nation. In a world often driven by profit margins, Dennis chose a different path guided by an unwavering mission to rediscover humanity at its best. Over a decade ago, he embarked on this remarkable journey, and in doing so, he has woven a legacy defined by acts of goodness that extend far beyond personal gain.

At the core of 360° Nation, three distinct enterprises bear testament to Dennis’s resolute commitment:

  • BizCatalyst 360° is an award-winning publishing platform that unites thousands of writers across six continents.
  • 360 ° Nation Studios serves as the canvas for powerful, humanity-driven videos that come to life, further amplifying the mission.
  • GoodWorks 360° is a consulting foundation dedicated to providing invaluable support, free of charge, to noble nonprofits worldwide.

My encounter with Dennis was unanticipated, an unexpected intersection of paths that inspired me profoundly. Engaging in a conversation with him, we found common ground in our shared mission—empowering humanity and rekindling the true essence of our shared existence. Even before his involvement in the transformative book project ‘Unsheltered: None of Us Are Home Until All of Us Are Home,’ co-authored with Peggy Willms, Dennis’s dedication to positive change was evident. This endeavor, devoted to illuminating the stories and struggles of the unsheltered population, provided a glimpse into his unwavering commitment to forging alternative paths to create a better world.

Dennis’s dedication to this cause is a guiding light, a testament to the boundless possibilities of positive change. As we embark on this journey through his life and work, his story promises to inspire and illuminate the path forward for humanity.

A: Please share a bit about your background and the journey that led you to rediscover humanity.

D: After spending decades in the international financial services sector, building and selling businesses, my wife Ali and I decided to leave the corporate world altogether to dedicate our time, talent, and treasure to rediscovering humanity. We do that through serving nonprofits from the grass-roots level all the way to the board of director level. We felt (borrowing from the words of Gandhi) that we could ‘in a gentle way, shake the world” for good. If we are serious in our quest to rediscover humanity at its best, we believe that our job is to “walk the talk” today and every day, doing our best to figure out what the world is trying to be – and then help the world be that, be better, and be even more. The world depends on everyone to show up and be present as best we can in our imperfect radiance. And we are blessed to have the opportunity to do so.

A: What inspired the creation of your latest “for good” humanity endeavor, the anthology book entitled “Unsheltered: Voices from the Street,” and what are your goals and aspirations for this project?

“Cybersecurity Breaches at MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment: Ocean’s 13-Style Digital Heist” By Mack Jackson, Jr.

Cybersecurity Breaches at MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment: Ocean’s 13-Style Digital Heist

By Mack Jackson, Jr.

In the fast-paced digital age, the security of sensitive data is paramount for every industry, and the recent cybersecurity incidents at MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment, both in Las Vegas, underscore this imperative. Both high-profile cases have served as a stark reminder that even well-prepared organizations can fall prey to cyberattacks, causing significant financial loss and jeopardizing customer trust.

The Incidents

On September 22, 2023, MGM Resorts concluded a 10-day computer system shutdown in a preemptive effort to secure its data following a cyberattack. While specific details have not been publicly disclosed, the ramifications are profound. Preliminary estimates suggest that the shutdown may have cost the MGM up to $8 million per day, totaling a staggering $80 million in cumulative losses.

Caesars Entertainment also came under a cyberattack on September 7. While its casino and online operations remained functional, the company needed help to assure the security of the personal information of tens of millions of its customers.

The Cost and the Vulnerability

The impacts of these attacks extend beyond monetary losses. For MGM Resorts, the cyberattack compromised several vital functions, including hotel reservations and credit card processing. Some resort services like dining and entertainment remained operational. Likewise, the disclosure from Caesars about the insecurity of customer data poses a potential PR crisis and long-term damage to brand trust.

In both instances, experts have noted the exposure of critical cybersecurity weaknesses, challenging the perception that casinos are invulnerable data fortresses.

“TRUST & HAVE FAITH… IT’S ALL DIVINE!” By Tracey Starr

TRUST & HAVE FAITH… IT’S ALL DIVINE!

By Tracey Starr

It happened about eight years ago while doing my morning Mirror Time practice after having one of those soulful cries in the shower about how painfully hard life was at the moment… I suddenly had this AHA download that I just needed to trust and have faith… it is all Divine!

At the time my life was seemingly in shambles. I was a struggling single mom after going through the most insane divorce imaginable with my children being torn in two due to maternal alienation tactics that seemingly worked. I felt completely alone and lost. It turned out to be my Dark Night of the Soul that lasted for years.

Since then it’s sometimes been a hard pill to swallow when experiencing tough times but what I’ve discovered over the years is that when you lean into the magic of this reality you come to realize that this statement is the truth… when you trust and have faith you can see the Divinity in all things. The “good” and the “bad”. From the Oneness of Life, everything that happens is truly neutral, but it is our perception that makes you feel as if the experience is good or bad. At least in the moment. In time, you may see your “bad” experiences as “good” for they helped to shape who you are now.

The hardest pill to swallow though, at least for me, is the death of a loved one. There is nothing more difficult to move through, especially if the death is unexpected or the person is young. It is here that trust and faith come into play. Death is the end of suffering, no matter how the end came to be. Trust that none of us get out of this reality alive so we will all one day take our last breath. Trust that everything and everyone here is temporary, so whatever it is you are going through will change. Trust that this change will make you stronger and better prepared, and perhaps be a turning point in your life to move you into alignment to being the person you are here to be.

And faith… that whatever is happening is happening for the highest good of all concerned no matter the outcome. These are the life lessons you need to experience that moves you to action in ways that you would otherwise not have taken. When you have faith you can feel that all the seemingly senseless evil and war and suffering in our world are what give you contrast in this reality to know and appreciate the light and the good that also exists here. There’s something remarkable that happens when you have faith in the Universe or God or whatever label you choose to represent the connectedness and energy of Oneness.

“How Did the Unacceptable Become Acceptable?” By Joan S. Peck

How Did the Unacceptable Become Acceptable?

By Joan S. Peck

Those of us who have experienced the 1950s and the somewhat naïve living portrayed on television with shows like “Father Knows Best,” “Leave It to Beaver,” and “The Donna Reed Show” are dismayed at how far we’ve departed from what they represented. For many, those shows highlighted the importance of loving and spending time with your family and reaffirming manners and etiquette.

Men held doors for women; we played and got along with the other kids in our neighborhood because they were our neighbors; we watched over older adults by carrying their groceries, mowing their lawns, and shoveling snow for them, and without any formality, a neighborhood watch existed because everyone watched out for everyone else at that time. If we did something we shouldn’t be doing, we reported it to our parents without them becoming defensive. Right was right, and wrong was wrong, unlike today.

Today, few seem to own up to the consequences of their own making. Our society lives in the shadows, where people do not live their highest good, where the unacceptable has become acceptable. We live in fear. If those in power don’t like what we have to say, we feel threatened with retaliation. Because of social media, anyone can say, do, and threaten another person or group without proper guidelines or consequences. Truth is often wholly misrepresented, and the unhappy, discontented folks grab onto the lies to ease their anger or sense of powerlessness or injustice.
