Quincella Rivers published her first book of poetry in 2017 “Think of Me When You Drink Tea.” Her poems evoke all emotions. Each poem has its own little story and is written from life’s experiences as well as hopes, and dreams. Her goal is to inspire, motivate, and empower you, as well as give you a sense of pride. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Masters in Social Work Administration. She is a retired Social Worker, who has worked in the position of a Juvenile Probation Officer and Child Protective Services Investigator. She has devoted her time as a social activist working in her community against human trafficking and other social justice issues. Some of her poems reflect social issues and women issues. In 2020, during the pandemic, Quincella turned her vision into a reality. She is the founder and president of L’Bella Arts In Motion, Inc, a nonprofit organization that supports all genre of the arts both traditional and non-traditional.
